Penland Events 2008

Community Open House - 2008

Each year on the first Saturday in March, the Penland studios are open to the public for hands-on workshops and demonstrations in clay, glass, iron, metals, textiles, and more. It’s an afternoon of experimentation, creativity, and fun. No charge; all ages are welcome. 1:00–5:00 p.m.

Scholarship Auctions

Each Penland session ends with an auction of work donated by students, instructors, and friends. These auctions are culminating celebrations of the work done in the classes, and they are an opportunity for neighbors, travelers, and craft enthusiasts to enjoy the energy of a Penland session. All proceeds support the Penland scholarship program.
